The area of Lake Preveli is located on the south side of the island of Crete and is only 38 km from the city of Rethymno.

The amazing scenery of the Lake starts essentially from the imposing gorge Kourtaliotiko where there are the sources of St. Nicholas, which supply it with water throughout the year.

Following the flow of the Grand River that runs through the gorge and up the Lake of Preveli and its beach of unique natural beauty, the visitor discovers many naturalistic and cultural treasures.

Churches and monasteries, stone bridges and mills witness the historical and cultural context of this place. It is located near Preveli Monastery and for visiting the beach is required a few minutes of downhill the mountain.
